Cheshire Funeral Bagpiper

Church Services

The bagpiper can play as the hearse arrives and then lead the coffin up to the church doors and down the aisle (unless other entry music is arranged(). The bagpiper can play a piece of music during the service and at the end leads back out and plays several tunes outside whilst mourners exit. If a burial is to follow then the bagpiper can lead down to the graveside and then play a few tunes at the end of the service as mourners leave.

Crematoriums

At a crematorium the bagpiper usually leads the funeral cortege from the crematorium entrance to the chapel (depending on distance) . The bagpiper can then lead the coffin into the chapel (unless other entry music is arranged) and play whilst people are seated. If the chapel is too small then the bagpiper can play outside and the sound will carry through. The final point of call is to play several tunes as mourners exit the service and gather outside.
